Dr. WHO

Hi Everyone,

Ever been hospitalized? If you have, you’ve likely met Dr. WHO. Dr. WHO is the doctor who slipped into the room when you were unconscious, sleeping, or otherwise unaware and rendered some medical service or other on the order of the admitting physician. Dr. WHO submits a bill to your insurance company, but guess what? He’s out-of-network! So now what happens? You get billed by Dr. WHO, who rightfully wants to be paid for the service he rendered. You look at the bill in shock, and exclaim, “Dr. WHO??!! I don’t even know who that is!?” Well, you may not know who he is, but he still expects payment. After all, he did treat you. If you don’t do something, the bills will just keep coming. You’ve got to take action. An appeal to your insurance company is a must. They should pay this claim, not you.
